[Internal Folloze Message]

We are excited to share the new release of the Buyer Experience Platform 3.0. GA candidate. This marks an important milestone in the process of getting BuyEx 3.0 in the hands of customers. The deployment will be done in a controlled way by the onboarding team and the upgrade team. The first customer to use this new release is Folloze.

We have already started rolling this out to our production instance (engage.folloze.com). We started the process of enabling a group of users with 3.0 boards, created a branded theme and in the process of configuring board templates. This will allow users to use the new release and launch boards to customers. We will expand the number of Folloze employees enabled with BuyEx 3.0 in the next few weeks. Right after, we will start sharing selectively with new customers and then start upgrading existing customers.

What is a GA Candidate?

GA candidate, also known as a release candidate, is a stable, high quality release that contains almost all the functionality of the General Availability (GA) release. In order to achieve that, we have invested significant effort was invested in bug fixes, quality assurance and regression testing (testing against negative impact on the system). This specific release is focussed on functional completeness of the board creation flow using templates, rich design using the gallery, publishing of the board, the live board and the analytics of the different visitor activities.

As with any release, we still expect some issues but in much lower capacity. Please report any issue using the BuyEx 3.0 beta slack channel.

What is the roll out and upgrade plan?

We are planning to enable Folloze org. (and modomind which is our test instance) first and enable selected users from our top agencies. This is an important phase to ensure all the features work as expected and gather any final feedback that will allow us to fix any issues identified.

The following milestone planned for end of July will be focussed on enabling new customer onboarding and training. We would like to enable new customers with BuyEx 3.0 in order to avoid future upgrade process. Our GA is planned for mid August (tentative date).

Please note that we also launched a new "Playground" environment that allows customers to have access for a month to an instance of Foloze BuyEx 3.0 to get themselves familiar. This can serve also as a great training environment for customers. contact playground@folloze.com to invite your customers.

What's missing from GA Candidate and will be available for GA?

There are a few features that are missing from the GA candidate, Personalization is on the top of the list. We decided to postpone this to the GA release due to some additional effort we identified is required. Please note that content personalization does work as before. here are the additional features planned for GA:

  • Design personalization
  • Floating widgets: Gating form, Cookie message (internal) expect cookie consent is support with the GA candidate
  • Embedded board support
  • Header+Banner shared background
